mark. body care that cares

I finally got my Bzz kit in the mail from BzzAgent. I got full size products of the mark. body care that cares line. It contained the body cleanser, body lotion with SPF 15, body creme, and the 15 in 1 big stick. Of course I couldn't wait and used the products right away. They are hypoallergenic and fragrance free, which is nice because I like to wear perfume and a lot of body cleansers and lotions are too scented and it clashes with my fragrance. The cleanser lathered very well and left my skin feeling fresh and soft. The body lotion and creme sunk into my skin immediately and left it baby soft. I used the 15 in 1 stick for my knees and elbows (which can be a bit dry and rough) and also to soften my cuticles. It worked well for both. It was not greasy at all, which made me very happy. I used to use the lemon cuticle creme by Burt's Bee's and it was just so greasy that I quit using it. Not the case at all with this product.

So, in summation, I am happy with these products and would definitely recommend them to others. I will do another review after 2 weeks, to comment on how they do with continued use. If anyone is interested in purchasing from this line use the coupon code BUYFT3 at checkout at www.meetmark.com

Also, I really like the fact that all the ingredients used are certified fair trade, which ensures fairness to farm workers across the globe. So...check it out, I think you'll be happy!

Perfume Crazy :)

Perfume crazy, yep that's me. I've always admired people who have a "signature" scent, who can be brand loyal to their favorite fragrance. I, however, can not do that. I have bottles on my dresser from Avon all the way to Burberry and beyond. I pick the scent for the day by my mood. Sometimes by the mood I am all ready in, and sometimes by the mood I want to be in. I'm going to list a few of my favorites and the reasons why.

Burberry Brit: This scent makes me feel both sexy and sweet. It reminds of hot summer nights and bare skin.

DKNY Be Delicious: I love this one because it is crisp, clean, tart, and fruity. Anyone of any age can wear this fragrance and it would be appropriate.

Rare Pearls: This is an Avon fragrance. When I wear this fragrance, it makes me feel super feminine and girly. As the name imparts, it reminds me of cashmere sweaters and pearl necklaces. It is soft, floral, and slightly powdery.

Dream Angels Heavenly: I love this fragrance for all the same reasons I love Burberry Brit. These 2 fragrances smell similar to me, except Heavenly is a tad more potent.

Love Spell: Another one by Victoria Secret that will always be one of my favorites. This fruity fragrance never fails to get compliments. When I smell this one, I want to smile.

These are my absolute all time favorites. Other fragrances may come and go out of my collection, but these have a permanent place on my dresser and in my heart. Scents have the ability to draw powerful emotions and memories of things passed for me. If I close my eyes, I can smell the home I grew up in, my grandmother, my mother. I can even remember the smell of my elementary school, especially a room they used to call the forum. I'll be testing some new fragrances and will be writing reviews when I form an opinion. Have a great evening everyone!

e.l.f. review

I finally tried out the other few e.l.f. products that I talked about last blog. First I tried the waterproof felt tip liquid eyeliner. I got them in 2 shades, midnight (navy blue) and plum. I am impressed. The application was super smooth and easy. No tugging or pulling. I have learned that it is important to store these eyeliners tip down so they don't dry out. They were also very long wearing, however, sometimes my eyes water terribly and I did have to reapply midday. Overall, I think they were an excellent value.

Next I tried out the eyebrow kit. It has two sides, one a cream to define the arch and the other a powder to fill in gaps. I am a stickler for my eyebrows. I do not like bushy eyebrows and in my quest for the perfect arch I've been guilty of over plucking. This kit looks very natural and I'm pleased with the results. When choosing a shade, keep in mind that if you are brunette, choose a shade or 2 lighter than your hair color, if you are blonde, choose a shade darker. Personally, I think a well defined brow gives a youthful appearance to the face and instantly makes it look more polished. Just don't go overboard. Nobody wants to look like Morticia Addams! :)

I recently decided I needed a waterproof mascara because my eyes have been watering so much. I chose L'oreal Carbon Black Voluminous Waterproof Mascara. I am in love with the original version, so I assumed I would be with the waterproof version as well. It has all the great qualities of the non waterproof version with extreme staying power. And I do mean extreme. It is a little hard to remove it at night. My normal eye makeup remover doesn't work for it, so I used cold cream and then baby oil to finally remove it. I would recommend this for weddings, funerals, or anywhere else you think you might be shedding a tear.

Have a great day everyone!

New Products I Love :)

Normally I am not much for face make up (foundation). It always feels too made up and I had never been able to find a shade that looked normal on me. It seemed I always looked like a greasy orange at the end of the day when I wore foundation. But lately, that has all changed. I do like some coverage now to hide past sun damage (oh how I wish I would've always been sun smart and NOT tanned!). I recently got a sample in the mail for L'oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base. At first I thought to myself, "do I really need to add another step?", and the answer to that is yes. This base can be worn alone or under makeup. It really does even out skin tone and makes pores all but disappear, and it makes my foundation go on much more smoothly and look great! I highly recommend this to everyone. Even if you don't wear foundation.

I have found 2 foundations that have changed my mind about foundation. The first one is Mary Kay Mineral foundation. It looks completely natural, provides just the right amount of coverage, and feels lightweight and fresh all day. For when my skin is feeling a little dry I use L'oreal Visible Lift. It does a good job also of looking natural and covering well. Both of these also contain SPF, which is really important to me.

After hearing all the wonderful reviews and raves about e.l.f. cosmetics, I decided to give them a try. Most of it I was really impressed with. I have to say the best thing I got from them was their brushes. Super amazing quality at dollar store prices! I also ordered their Shimmering Facial Whip in citrus and pink lemonade. They are both sheer and shimmery  (no glitter) and are perfect for summertime when you may want to keep makeup simple. I also got the All Over Color Stick in pink lemonade. It wears well all day and does not crease or run. I don't care to use it as a lip gloss because it seemed to dry for that, but for eyes and cheeks, it did awesome. I also ordered 2 liquid eyeliners in midnight and plum. I have yet to try those, I'll let you know about those when I get around to them.

And last, but not least, I have to give Vaseline it's due. It's a very versatile product, that I don't think I could do with out. I use it for lip balm, to tame my eye brows, to moisturize my knees and elbows, I smooth it on my feet at night and wear socks to bed and wake up to smooth tootsies! It can also remove stubborn eye makeup, protect scrapes and small cuts, and the list just goes on and on.

This is the end for today! I hope everyone enjoys their evening :) Love and hugs to all, Sarah Jane

BzzAgent

I'm super excited about a new site I found called BzzAgent. You get to try out cool stuff and rate and review them for free! I just got my first invite for mark. (Avon) fair trade line. I will let you know all about it after I receive the products and try them out. I posted a link to BzzAgent at the end of my blog. I had to fill out some stuff to qualify, but it wasn't terrible and it didn't cost anything. Since I don't get out much (thank you very much, Lupus) this definitely gives me something to fill my time. And it gives me something to blog about :). Which I haven't been doing much of lately, because I just haven't had much to say! Soooo...we'll just have to see how this goes. Good night everybody :)
